Greetings,
This year our household is going to take part in the Land Grab at Pennsic 37. As we all know the larger the group the better chance you have of getting a decent piece of land. From our house we currently have 22 people all set to pre-reg. I am looking for another group / household that would like to join camping forces to increase our numbers. If your interested please let me know. We have a household camp manual that I will send to you so that you know what to expect from us.
Thank you,
Lord Gregory

Well, not always true. A larger group which is new might get bumped off a preferred block, whereas a smaller group might get to stay.

Fri, March 21, 2008 - 8:43 PMIt also depends on where you want to be. It is my understanding that smaller groups can still get space on the serengeti while the bigger groups are being bumped because they have overgrown their "traditional" space and can't expand without bumping other groups.
In theory, I would think it is harder to find a larger chunk of desirable land than to find a smaller chunk that you can squeeze in between two larger groups...but that is just theory.

What ages will be making up the part of your household that will be camping this year? What type of 'common area' equipment do you have (tarps with poles, ropes, and stakes; fire bowls; kitchen &/or shower equipment; etc.)?
So far The Hundred Acre Wood doesn't have anyone but my boy and me scheduled to come this year, so I'm not sure if I want to try camping solo. Just wondering if your group might like to try camping under the THAW auspices (we have a new block we wanted to try out this year, so I would need a larger group to make a true go of it anyway)?
