I wouldn't even know where to look - none of the sites I frequent have any word.

Apparently my attempt at humor went with the crash and burn theme :)

Don't worry, Ziggy. That's my theme every year.

that's more a mantra than a theme to me - I repeat that regularly when I'm at pennsic!

I'm curious too -- no idea there are "themes" each year --- well, except the on-going theme of medieval renactment ???

There is a trend each year. Like the year that Johny Depp's Pirate movie came out there were like a hundred times as many pirates at Pennsic than an average year. And the year that the fort was first built there seemed to be a huge number of Romans. Four years ago started the big trend towards Middle Eastern, I don't recall the impetous for that one. There had been ME before and there had been Pirates before etc... but in these years a trend occured that mad eit so there were just thousands more of each then there had been before. And it isn't just garb but classes and themed events and encampments. SO I think it is fare to say that each year does have a theme, but I never knew if this was preconceived or just collective coinsidence.

I think with two more Johny Depp Pirate movies coming out we can expect the pirate theme to last a while. Thou Gypsy might come more to the front with the Vardos.

Great which means I have to listen to people accusing me of following a trend even though I've been doign cavalier/Pirate for 23 years now

So...this year's them could potentially be Superman. Maybe in a kilt.

Or a shower pavilion shaped like a Tardis...

                      Hee!

an't beleive they set us up for another sequal.... And it's like they did this one just for the sake of the third movie. Nothing gets resolved... What a load of rotting tripe! I call foul... and smelling of profiteering I do.... Bunch of land lubbing weasels they be. I say they shouldbe made to walk the plank with extreem prejudice!

Although the slapstick in the second is hillarious... I find it odd that the rough tough take no prisoners crew of Davy Jones was easily fended off by one chick.

I wouldn't mind if they did every sequel that way, like 1930's serials...nothing ever gets resolved, the fun just keeps going.
